Requests for installing products in
When water heaters are installed during the winter, the inspection water* remaining in the water heater may freeze and temporarily prevent the water heater from operating properly. (*Test water is the water used for the inspection performed on all water heaters prior to shipment.)
Example : Low hot water output temperature, no water, etc.
In such cases, please wait for a trial run for a while until it melts.
Only the user should change the temperature of the hot water while the shower or hot water supply is in use.
→ Suddenly, hot water may come out and burn you, or cold water may startle you.
When the hot water tap is opened, the water may be hot for a moment, so do not pour it over your hands or body.
→ Doing so may cause burns.
When reducing the volume of hot water, do so slowly and do not over-squeeze.
→ If you do it too quickly or squeeze too much, hot water may come out.
After using hot water, return the water temperature to "low.
If the temperature is lowered to lukewarm after using hot water, let the water run for a while before using it.
→ Hot water in the piping will be discharged and will not become lukewarm immediately, which may cause burns.
Caution
To ensure safe and comfortable use of the appliance, be sure to perform daily inspections on a regular basis.
Never attempt to disassemble the appliance as this may result in malfunction or accident.
If you find any abnormality after inspecting items 2 through 6, please contact the dealer where you purchased the product or our nearest sales office.
There is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and fire due to incomplete combustion.
For exterior painting work, etc., the equipment may be temporarily covered with a vinyl sheet to cure the equipment, but never use the equipment when it is covered. Abnormal combustion will occur due to poor exhaust.
For longer and safer use, we recommend that you take regular inspections about once every two years (or about twice a year if you use it frequently). Please contact the store where you purchased the product or your nearest Paloma before making a request (charged). In addition, if you have used the device for more than 5 years and have never undergone a regular inspection, please do so by all means (charged).
* Be sure to perform daily inspections and maintenance.
* If you think the product is out of order or damaged, do not use it. Ask the store where you purchased the product or your nearest Paloma for inspection and repair.
* Be sure to unplug the power plug, close the gas plug, and allow the device to cool before cleaning.
* Be careful of your fingertips when cleaning.
For outdoor hot water equipment, please observe the following installation standards.
Keep the upper part of the device at least 300 mm away from the exhaust port. (The same is true for non-combustible materials.) Keep the
front of the device at least 600 mm away. (In the case of non-combustible material, it will be 300 mm or more, but please secure 600 mm or more as a maintenance space.) Of the parts that are directly exposed to exhaust heat even in front of 600 mm or more, those that are sensitive to heat (plastic etc.) and those that are easily discolored Protect (painting, etc.) with non-combustible heat insulating material.
Keep the rear of the device at least 10 mm away.
Keep the device side at least 150 mm away. (In the case of non-combustible material, it will be 45 mm or more, but please secure 150 mm or more as a maintenance space. Keep
150 mm or more below the equipment.
* The separation distance between the water heater and the surroundings is installed according to the installation standard. If it is not installed, sparks may be emitted from the exhaust port of the equipment due to incomplete combustion, etc., so it is recommended to check the installation once by inspection (charged).
Make sure that it can be installed in a place without windows. If there is a window, keep it at least 300 mm above the opening of the surrounding building (except if the actual length is 600 mm or more even if it is within 300 mm), and at least 150 mm on the sides and below.
The building opening here means a window, a door, etc. that can be moved and opened in the building (sliding window, sliding window, hinged door, etc.), and is fixed to a non-openable window or single sliding window provided for light collection. The part that is marked is not called an opening.
[Caution] Pay particular attention to the windows of the neighboring house. You may get hot and complain.
* Even if it is an outdoor device, if the separation distance between the device and the building opening is not installed according to the installation standard when the device causes incomplete combustion, exhaust air will be exhausted from the building opening into the building. It may flow in and cause carbon monoxide poisoning. We recommend that you check the installation once by inspection (charged).
Do not place flammable materials around the equipment. It may cause a fire. Also, do not use volatile chemicals nearby as they may catch fire.
Do not put towels, towels, etc. on the exhaust port.
When going to bed or going out, make sure that the bath switch on the bath remote controller is set to "OFF" (all lamps are turned off) and the hot water supply switch on the hot water supply remote controller is set to "OFF" (all lamps are turned off).
Do not operate while running water from the water heater.
→ When operating in the "open" position, the flame of the main burner overflows and it is dangerous.
Keep your eyes away from the ignition confirmation window.
→ There is a risk of burns due to heat.
Forced exhaust type (FE type), forced air supply and exhaust type (FF type)
Forced exhaust type means that exhaust gas is forcibly exhausted outdoors by an exhaust blower.
The exhaust stack (air supply and exhaust stack) should be as short as possible in rise from the equipment (within 1 m), and the lateral draw of the exhaust extension should have a downward slope of about 1/50th of a meter.
If dew condensation clogged in the exhaust stack (supply / exhaust stack) flows back to the equipment side, it may lead to corrosion of the equipment.
Natural exhaust type (CF type)
Natural exhaust type means that the exhaust gas is discharged outdoors by natural ventilation through an exhaust stack.
The exhaust stack top should be installed outside the wind pressure zone.
If the exhaust stack top is open in the pressure zone, a backflow phenomenon will occur.
The water drainage line on the body of the instrument (main body of the instrument) also serves as a safety valve. When high pressure is generated inside the instrument, water may drip from the drainage line due to the function of the safety valve, but this is not a problem.
(If water drops fall and stain the floor, use a vinyl hose to drain the water to an unobstructed area.)
